April 20-26: Nourishing Hope Summit - Nutrition for ADHD, Autism & Anxiety
The number of children being diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders is on the rise. Currently, there are over six million children with ADHD. About 1 in 54 children have autism, and over four million children have been diagnosed with anxiety. Most children with neurodevelopmental disorders suffer physical health issues as well as neurological symptoms. Research shows that there is a strong correlation between mental health conditions and nutrient status. For example, 50% of children with autism have been shown not to meet the nutritional requirements for 11 important nutrients. And, more than 50% of children with ADHD have been found to have suboptimal nutrition.
With the expansion of nutrition science, we are seeing remarkable improvements in mental health conditions by utilizing customized diet and nutrition interventions. For practitioners and others who want to learn more about advanced nutrition therapy and how to customize recommendations to the unique biochemistry of clients, Julie Matthews, a leading expert in the science and application of therapeutic diets and nutrition for childhood neurodevelopmental disorders, founded Nourishing Hope and BioIndividual Nutrition Institute. Julie is dedicated and passionate about helping to improve the lives of those with mental health conditions.
To further share this important knowledge, Julie Matthews will be hosting a free online event called Nourishing Hope Summit 2020. This summit is for parents, healthcare practitioners and researchers who want to learn evidenced-based diet and nutrition strategies for supporting mental health conditions. This amazing summit will feature 35 cutting-edge clinicians, leading researchers and health professionals, including medical doctors and nutrition experts. They will present clinical data and empowering action steps on how to improve the health, learning, and behavior of children with mental health conditions. Some of the topics to be covered include science-based nutrition strategies and therapeutic diets, the importance of addressing individual biochemical needs, helpful tips for picky eaters, key nutrients and supplements to support mood, learning, and behavior, recommendations for supporting gut and immune health, as well as important ways to reduce toxins and pathogens.
