Organic acids are metabolic byproducts of cellular metabolism that are produced during energy production, neurotransmitter breakdown, detoxification and intestinal microbial activity. Serotonin levels in the body are associated with the regulation of sleep, mood, aggression, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.*
