I have now ordered this beet powder several times. I add it to my morning smoothie. It dissolves well, there is no noticeable weird beet taste to it and it makes my smoothie a much more "palatable" looking reddish-pink color (rather than the dull gray-brown it used to be from the protein and other powders mixed in with it). Serotonin levels in the body are associated with the regulation of sleep, mood, aggression, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.*
