Botanical Name: Echinacea purpurea

Actions: Immune system modulator and tonic. Anti-inflammatory. Stimulates healthy growth of connective tissue and speeds healing of damaged tissues. Excellent alterative, and blood and lymphatic cleanser.

Uses: All conditions where immune system is challenged or compromised: Inflammations, infections, fevers, colds, flu, allergies, etc. Weak immune system and susceptibility to infections or slow-healing wounds. Septicemia ("blood poisoning"). Lymphatic congestion. Boils and carbuncles. Eczema, psoriasis, hives and other skin problems. General "run-down" feeling. Arthritis. Venomous stings and bites.

Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 5 times per day. In fevers, severe infections, or venomous bites and stings, doses can be as large as 40 to 80 drops every 1 to 2 hours (depending upon severity). As fever or symptoms subside, dosage can be lowered in size and frequency. Topically apply full strength (if well tolerated), or dilute with 1 or 2 parts water.
