How to Use
Add one or two drops to a wet cotton pad for application to appropriate skin area. Do not use full strength on skin. Mix a few drops into your favorite shampoo to break up product buildup and reduce excess oil. Add three to four drops to a regular load of laundry during the wash cycle to refresh clothing. This is the second time I purchased this item believing it was the 180 capsule
version. The picture is deceiving - that size usually has 180! Yes the words said 90
but I did not read it until after receiving the shipment (picture is deceiving)!
The Mane Thing
Started taking after neck fusion surgery to relieve pressure on nerves. Recovery had stalled and function was reduced in my right arm due to nerve damage. After starting Lion's Mane at Village Green's suggestion began to regain function with continued improvement over the next months. Also reduced frequency and severity of nerve 'blasts' in my leg from unrelated issue -- believe me, I take it every day!

5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is the intermediate metabolite produced when the body initiates the process of converting the essential amino acid L-tryptophan to serotonin. Serotonin levels in the body are associated with the regulation of sleep, mood, aggression, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.*
Supplementing with 5-HTP to facilitate serotonin production is preferable to supplementing with L-tryptophan because, unlike L-tryptophan, 5-HTP cannot be shunted into niacin or protein production.* Supplementation with 5-HTP bypasses the conversion of L-tryptophan into 5-HTP by the enzyme tryptophan hydroxylase, the rate-limiting step in the synthesis of serotonin and a step that can be inhibited by a number of factors, including stress, insulin resistance, increasing age, and deficiencies of vitamin C, folate, and iron.
