How to Use:
- This candle features a cedar wooden wick, which requires a slightly different lighting technique than a cotton wick.
- Follow these tips to ensure a smooth and even burn:
- Trim the wick: Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before each lighting.
- Light properly: Hold a steady flame to the wooden wick for 10–20 seconds to help the wood catch.
- Relight if needed: If the wick goes out, gently remove any charred material before relighting. This will allow the flame to establish itself.
- First burn matters: On the first use, let the candle burn until the wax melts evenly to the edges of the jar. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for future use.
- Candle care: Keep the wax pool free of debris and stop burning when 1/2 inch of unmelted wax remains. Always avoid drafty areas.
- To remove charred material from the wick, use scissors, a wick trimmer, or carefully snap it off with your fingers. Following these steps will help you enjoy the full experience of your candle!

Pathway Fermented Organic Beet Powder
I have now ordered this beet powder several times. I add it to my morning smoothie. It dissolves well, there is no noticeable weird beet taste to it and it makes my smoothie a much more "palatable" looking reddish-pink color (rather than the dull gray-brown it used to be from the protein and other powders mixed in with it). Serotonin levels in the body are associated with the regulation of sleep, mood, aggression, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior, and pain sensation.*
Supplementing with 5-HTP to facilitate serotonin production is preferable to supplementing with L-tryptophan because, unlike L-tryptophan, 5-HTP cannot be shunted into niacin or protein production.* Supplementation with 5-HTP bypasses the conversion of L-tryptophan into 5-HTP by the enzyme tryptophan hydroxylase, the rate-limiting step in the synthesis of serotonin and a step that can be inhibited by a number of factors, including stress, insulin resistance, increasing age, and deficiencies of vitamin C, folate, and iron.
