The Autism Exchange: A New Autism Resource

We are excited to share a fantastic new resource called The Autism Exchange. It’s a user-friendly, interactive website for parents and professionals seeking reliable autism-related information such as special diets, lifestyle support, beneficial teaching methods, medical topics relating to autism spectrum disorders, alternative therapies, and helpful information for parents. In addition, The Autism Exchange allows users to quickly search directories for autism practitioners, supplement suppliers, autism blogs, testing labs, and compounding pharmacies, such as Village Green Apothecary.
The Autism Exchange was created by a group of scientific advisers, who are some of the leading experts in the field. In fact, we are proud to mention that one of the members of the Scientific Advisory Board is Nutritionist and autism educator Dana Laake, RDH, MS, LDN, who hosts our radio show, Essentials of Healthy Living. With 40 years of experience, Dana Laake specializes in complex medical nutrition issues affecting children and adults. She is also a scientific advisor and content contributor for the Neurological Health Foundation Healthy Child Guide, and the co-author of The Kid-Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook - The Ultimate Guide to the Gluten-free Casein-free Diet, and The ADHD & Autism Nutritional Supplement Handbook.
Another Scientific Board member we are happy to share is Patty Lemer. She is a licensed professional counselor with 40 years of experience advocating for families of children with special needs. Patty has been a returning guest on our radio show and is the co-founder of the nonprofit Developmental Delay Resources (DDR), which merged in 2013 with Epidemic Answers, for which she now serves as Board Chair. She is the author of books on autism treatments: Envisioning a Bright Future: Interventions that Work for Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Outsmarting Autism: The Ultimate Guide to Management, Healing and Prevention. Patty has also been a guest on our Radio Show to talk about autism.
