# Orajel Double Action Toothache and Gum Relief

Orajel Double Action Toothache and Gum Relief provides instant pain relief for severe oral pain. The formula delivers 2 times as many active ingredients as single medicated oral pain products for fast, targeted relief.

-   15% Benzocaine to relieve oral pain
-   Menthol to soothe gums

**How To Use:**

**1 Open**

-   Cut open tip of tube on score mark. Do not use if tube tip is cut prior to opening.

**2 Apply:**

-   **Adults:** Apply a pea-size amount of product to the affected area. Use up to 4 times daily or as directed by a physician or healthcare provider. Allow gel to dry 30-60 seconds into protective film.
-   Do not eat for one hour following use.
-   Do not chew gum or food while numbness persists.

**Warnings:**

**Allergy alert:** do not use this product if you have a history of allergic reaction to benzocaine, or any ingredient in the product. Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur. In such case, discontinue use.

-   Do not exceed recommended dosage  
    
-   Do not use for more than 7 days unless directed by a physician or healthcare provider  
    

**Stop use and ask a health care provider if:**

-   swelling, rash or fever develops  
    
-   irritation, pain or redness persists or worsens  
    
-   symptoms do not improve in 7 days  
    
-   following symptoms appear:  
    weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing and/or blue coloured lips or nail beds as these may be signs of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to 2 hours after use  
    

Avoid contact with eyes; if happens, rinse thoroughly with water. In case of overdose or allergic reaction, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre right away.

**Keep out of reach of children**

Do not use if Tamper-Evident Tab is open before first use. Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
